Students will be assigned a part of the project to be completed within the
first weeks of the semester according to their interests and skills. They will
be graded depending on how they deliver these assignments, as well as its
quality of their code and solutions.
Students/Groups will do one or several presentations of part of the system
which also will be graded.
The system will be implemented in C++, although for testing algorithms we
might use other programming languages such as Python.
Program:
\- The Kinect. Camera models, getting image and depth bufffers.
\- Intrinsic and extrinsic. Camera calibration
\- Point cloud and volumetric representations
\- Meshing and texturing
\- Deforming geometry
Requirements:
The basics of 3D graphics are highly recommended. OpenGL, CUDA.
Computer Vision and Photogrammetry, Computational Photography, Digitizing the
Real World, and Realistic Computer Graphics are recommended but not a must.
Computer Vision and Photogrammetry can be followed simultaneously.
