In this course will look at different techniques to acquire 3D models from
images. During the course labs you will implement a 3D reconstruction
pipeline, from 2D images to a 3D geometric model. We will also see some
notions about SLAM and other applications of multi-view geometry.
\- Camera geometry and calibration
\- Feature detection and Matching
\- Stereo and Structure from Motion
\- Shape from Shading and Photometric Stereo
\- Registration, Meshing, and Texturing
Objectives:
\- Get familiar with image processing algorithms and acquire practical
experience.
\- Understand the concepts of perspective geometry
\- Get experience with robust computational methods.
\- Learn about Multi-view geometry, theory and applications.
\- Implement the most usual tools necessary for multi-view reconstruction.
\- Understand the full pipeline for 3D reconstruction.
Skills
\- Acquire practice with image processing programming.
